Red Tory is a fantastic book on how both the "Right" and the "Left" are not so different in all to many ways. While the Left historically has supported regimes that put the economy under the control of the state delivering subsistence wages, the "Right" has supported businesses which do their best to deliver their own brand of subsistence.
